Walk Lviv from the Rynok

East of the centre, Lychakiv Cemetery is a vast historic cemetery with paths through the trees. To the south, Stryiskyi Park is a large landscaped park.
Cobbles and conditions
The old town is compact and gently sloped, with cobbles everywhere. Winters are cold, and summers warm.
A good loop: the Rynok and the cathedrals, up Svobody Avenue to the Opera, east to the High Castle hill, then down through Lychakiv and back into the old town. The lanes between the Rynok and the old city walls are short and tightly packed, so they clear in dense blocks. Check current travel advice before you go.
