FOG: Fog of War Walking Map ("FOG") is made by Maren Technologies LLC. By using the app or this website you agree to these terms.

Using FOG

FOG reveals a map as you walk. You may use it for personal, non-commercial purposes. Do not misuse the app, reverse engineer it, or use it in a way that breaks the law or the rules of the store you downloaded it from.

Walk safely

FOG is a game and a map, not a navigation or safety tool. Pay attention to your surroundings, obey traffic laws and local rules, and do not enter private property or unsafe places to clear the fog. You are responsible for where you go.

Your data

FOG has no accounts and no server. Your location history stays on your phone. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Purchases

The optional "FOG Unlimited" purchase is sold and processed by the App Store or Google Play under their terms, including their refund rules. Purchases can be restored from the app.

Our content

The app, its art, maps styling, videos and posts we publish are owned by Maren Technologies LLC or used under license. Map data comes from its respective providers under their licenses.

No warranty

FOG is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not promise the app will be error-free, always available, or that map or distance figures are exact.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Maren Technologies LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of FOG. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms. The current version will always be at this address with its effective date.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, USA.
