The Golden Temple

The bazaars of the old city, such as Katra Jaimal Singh and Guru Bazaar, sell clothes, shoes and jewellery. Gobindgarh Fort is a short way west.

Summers are very hot, and winters are cold and foggy in the mornings. Spring and autumn are the best seasons.
The old city is compact and dense. The flag ceremony at the Attari border is an evening trip outside the city.
